Meet the sensitive-skin friendly exfoliator your skin will thank you for

It finally feels like Spring in New York City (hopefully it feels like spring wherever you’re reading this from too) and my skin couldn't be happier about it. I’ve already told you I’m not a big fan of warm weather but I’m not gonna lie, not having to carry a bear-like jacket with me does feel good, plus my skin is finally looking alive again. Now, what's the biggest issue? We probably have another month to go between low and high temperatures because transitional weather will be taking over for at least a few more days before the 60's decide to show up to stay, and that's something our skin definitely doesn't enjoy. For me this means swapping some skincare products, finding new ingredients and going for an overall lighter routine as my pores tend to get clogged easily which results in creased makeup, excessive sweating or my sunscreen and moisturizer bulking up.

For that reason during this time I pay special attention to exfoliation. Not that I don't exfoliate during the winter but in order for my skin to stay clean and toxins-free I have to be really dedicated in terms of exfoliation, making sure to do it at least twice a week. 

Now, you know how every brand has a holy grail? Well, I dare to say this is Neogen's. The exfoliating pads were for sure the first product ever to caught my attention. Containing 30 single-use exfoliating pads inside, the Green Tea Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling is definitely one of those products that after trying for the first time you simply can't go back.

But what's it for? These 3-layer pads prodive your skin with a deep but super gentle exfoliation, removing dead skin cells, toxins, waste and impurities trapped inside your pores to accomplish smoother skin.

But the real magic is in the essence the pads are soaked in: Green Tea, one of the most powerful antioxidants nature decided to provide us with which prevents premature aging, helps boost the skin's regeneration process and is deeply anti inflammatory. 

How is this different from other exfoliators, you may wonder? Well, well, well, this patented hypoallergenic cotton gauze pads not only remove what's stuck inside our pores to even out our skin's texture but also provides the skin with nourishing ingredients working deep in pores and at surface level at the same time, all in a very gentle way being sensitive-skin friendly, which is usually a concern if your skin tends to react to everything (ehem, ehem, me).

To use them just slip 2 or 3 fingers into the sleeve so the criss-crossed gauze is facing down. Then, slowly and without applying too much pressure use circular motions all over your face (skin being dry) starting on your neck and going up until you hit your forehead.

Following, rotate the pad so the soft side is facing down and swipe across you face to get rid of all the remaining waste. Finally, rinse your face with lukewarm water and TADA! You're done!

Now, while these are safe to use everyday I relay on them just twice a week. It works different for everyone because we all have different skin types and necessities, so start with 1 or 2 days a weeks and see how that works for you.
