With Tiffany Marie Peterson
Tiffany Marie Peterson is a beauty blogger, freelance writer, and healthcare & social media consultant based in NYC. Her journey into Korean beauty and skincare arose from genuine curiosity and a desperate need to find solutions to fade the acne scars she had accumulated over time due to her health condition, lupus. When she came across one blog on her quest to fade acne scars, she found K-beauty and fell in love with it.
We had an amazing chance to interview Tiffany and she shared her skincare experience and story to us!
Neogen: Would you say your knowledge in beauty & skincare is beginner, intermediate, advanced?
Tiffany: I'd say my knowledge of beauty & skincare is more advanced than the general consumer, but probably an intermediate level compared to an esthetician. I've been using skincare and beauty since I was a teen. Though it was only when I began using K-beauty that I became hyper aware of ingredients and how they can affect the skin.
Neogen: Would you share your current skincare routine with us?
Tiffany: My current skincare routine varies depending on what my face needs that day so I don't use 10-steps every day. I always start with an oil cleanser if wearing makeup/sunscreen. Next is a foam cleanser followed by either a lactic acid toner or more soothing toner depending on how much I need to exfoliate. I usually add nourishing oils to my day/night time moisturizers as well.
Neogen: What is your biggest skincare concern?
Tiffany: My biggest skincare concern is hyperpigmentation and managing blackheads in my nose area.
Neogen: Do you have a favorite skincare ingredient?
Tiffany: My favorite skincare ingredients are Niacinamide, Licorice root, and Ginseng!

Neogen: Do you use any Neogen products? Which one have you used, liked and why did you like it?
Tiffany: Yes, I've used several Neogen products!
Neogen Cereal Foam Cleanser: I love love love the scent.. For some reason, it reminds me of a snail cream I used to use when I first started my K-beauty journey. It's a lovely gentle foam cleanser.
Neogen Lemon Bio-peel: I love how smoothly it exfoliates my dead skin cells & the gratifying feeling of seeing the loose skin bits on the peeling pad!!(>.<)
Neogen Green Tea Cleansing Stick: I love using this for my on-the-go K-beauty routine. It's a no-fuss travel cleanser!
Neogen: What do you think defines beauty?
Tiffany: I believe attitude and personality are what defines our own beauty. It's what's within that radiates outward. How beautiful are your innermost thoughts?
Neogen: What is your career passion and would you share us what you future ambitions (career, personal) are?
Tiffany: I have a strong passion for health advocacy. I aspire to run my own non-profit organization for people living with lupus all across the world. This is just one aspiration I have of many : )
