Neogen White Truffle Laycure Oil Stick & Balm Pact Review by Sarah Oh
How To Stop Your Makeup From Flaking With Neogen White Truffle Laycure Oil Stick & Balm Pact
By Sarah Oh
To remedy my dry flaky skin I’ve been using the Neogen White Truffle Laycure Oil Stick and Balm Pact. I was using in the fall and I stopped using it for some reason and back on it again! So this will be a part review and part tutorial on how i use it with my makeup. I hope you will find it interesting and helpful, so let’s get on with it.
Neogen launched their White Truffle line at the start of fall last year. It included the WT Serum in Oil (which I love), WT Laycure Oil Stick, WT Laycure Balm Pact, and the WT Knit Mask (also awesome). Both the oil stick and balm pack are light and compact to carry around with you in your bag and you can use it throughout the day whenever or wherever (no-ne-no-ne-no-neeee~). Like the serum the oil stick and balm pact contains a skin barrier component that is made up of fatty acids, ceramide, and cholesterol that mimics your own skin. The white truffle line ingredients include white truffle oil, macadamia seed oil, olive oil, chamomile oil, and avocado oil. All of them absorb super fast as well.
The oil stick is great for focusing on specific areas that get dry especially around the lips and under the eye. The oil stick is quite slick so it won’t drag the skin like some stick products. It’s also great at giving your skin a dewy look. It doesn’t have sticky feeling and is very lightweight. I like to use it on days I don’t wear too much makeup and I apply on areas where I have dry patches like on my neck and forehead.
The balm pact is the best idea ever!!! I love the portability of the balm is and the puff is great for applying on top of makeup. With the stick it can shift your makeup a bit but with the puff you can dab without rubbing the product in. Before any makeup I like to use it after I apply primer. Throughout the day I like to dab around my eyes where I can see the most lines. the balm is a little more stickier than the oil stick and a little less glowy.
If you’re unsure which one to use then I’d suggest getting the oil stick as specific areas that need extra care throughout the day. As for the balm pact use it as a makeup moisture booster before and after applying your makeup. Both are handy to have.
Thank you for reading and I hope you’ll be able to tame the flakes!
