Happy New Year! 1st post of this 2019 year will be a review about a product that I got really excited about when I received it. It is another product from the brand Neogen, and their products I really, really like. They produce innovative products with quality ingredients, and I have tried quite a few of their products and you can read some of my previous reviews here:

Joan Kim is one of my favorite YouTubers when it comes to K-beauty related videos, so trying out a product that she participated in the making is so exciting. Without further ado, let’s get into the review.

DESCRIPTION

• Soothing Day Cream: Enriched with natural green tea ingredient and vitamin C, the day cream is instantly absorbed to soothe and calm irritations and redness, while moisturizing and revitalizing the cream.
• Hydrating Night cream: Formulated with Lavender and Vitamin E, this night cream delivers intense hydration deep into skin with the cooling texture. It also improves the skin’s strength all night long.

How to use: apply Joan Day Vita Cream in the morning, and Joan Night Vita Cream at night. After cleansing, evenly apply an appropriate amount onto the face. Gently pat for better absorption.

PACKAGING

This cream is packaged in a plastic container with 2 separate parts – one containing the day cream and another the night one. The packaging comes with another lid underneath a main lid, and a little spatula for applying the product.

I appreciate the fact that they have constructed a product that has both day and night cream in one packaging. This makes this product a no-brainer and a perfect travel companion. But, I am not a big fan of the lid part between the main cap and the tub. For a first few uses, every time that I tried to open the creme, it created some kind of vacuum making it really hard to lift.  This stops when you use a bit more of the product.

The product retails for $32.00 and you can get ithere. You get 50 g/1,76OZ of both day & night creme, making it 100 g in total, which is really a lot, so you get a large amount of product for a really reasonable price!

TEXTURE & SCENT

The day cream is a light mint color and it has a thicker consistency than the night creme. When I first applied the cream, I thought that it will be too thick for underneath the make up, but no. It smoothes, it is light and it absorbs nice. It is also a perfect primer that preps the skin with moisture.

On another note, when thinking about the night creme, most people think about a thicker, heavier creme. Well, this is not the case here. This night creme, (light purple color and lightly has a lavender scent), has a gel-like texture. It sinks into the skin beautifully, and it can be reapplied if you feel like you need a bit more hydration and moisture.

Both cremes have great, not sticky, fast absorbing quality.

This cream is formulated free of paraben, artificial fragrance, artificial color. Star ingredients of Joan Day Vita Cream is Green Tea which delivers an intensive soothing benefit while containing Vitamin C helps fight fatigue by energizing and reviving skin. Night cream delivers an intensive soothing benefit of lavender, while helping strengthen the skin’s natural power with vitamin E.

MY THOUGHTS

Well, I love this product. Both cremes have great textures, they are moisturizing and my skin loves them. They do not irritate it, but deliver freshness, sooth the skin while keeping it hydrated. Perfect day cream for underneath the make-up and a soothing night creme for the end of a long day. Yes, this product has a big thumbs up from me!
