Neogen Dermalogy Real Cica Pad Review
By Marina Jurcic (marinablueeyes)
Hello, hello everyone!
I hope you’re having a wonderful day! If you read my blog, you know how much I love me a good skincare product. I find that my skin especially loves K-Beauty products, because so far, almost all worked well for my normal to dry, sometimes dehydrated skin. Today I am writing my thoughts about cotton pads soaked into an essence – NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Cica Pad.
DESCRIPTION
This product is described as:
Skin Barrier Recovery + Calming Hydration + Skin Protecting + Dead Skin Peeling. A skin-calming recovery cica pad soothes the irritated and sensitized skin while reinforcing the skin barrier. Cica repair essence & PHA moisture peeling ingredient supplies skin-calming hydration while removing dead skin cells and excess sebum.
PACKAGING
The product is packaged in a way that the cotton pads are soaked in an essence formulated with Centella asiatica extract (a.k.a. Cica). Because it has a low pH of 5.83, these pads are suitable enough to use daily – as the instructions say: 1 pad 1 day routine! The plastic tub has a weight of 150mL with 90 pads inside, so you’re getting a lot for your money-the price on SokoGlam website is $20.00. The only thing that is weird is that the lid sometimes doesn’t close properly and I always have to double check it. So, have that in mind if traveling.
INGREDIENTS
First thing that caught my eye was this: Free of potential irritants like parabens, artificial fragrance, and mineral oil. Then the star ingredients like: Centella Asiatica Extract, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Madecassoside, Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide NP (Ceramide 3). Just to name some of the benefits: Centella Asiatica is here to soothe the skin and calm it down, Hyaluronic Acid provides hydration and Madecassoide is good for preventing UV induced hyper-pigmentation.
Full ingredients list: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Madecassoside, Lactobionic Acid, Gluconolactone, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Octyldodecanol, Ceramide NP(Ceramide 3), Hydrogenated Lecithin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Allantoin, Betaine, Panthenol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tromethamine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Propanediol, Diglycerin, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Disodium EDTA.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I like the convenience and the simplicity of having already soaked pads. After cleansing my face, I just take one out, swipe it all over my face. Then I tap the essence into the skin and I am good to go with the next skincare step. These pads eliminate redness and inflammation and this help my skin looking better and healthier. Another plus it is that they help to promote collagen production. The formula contains hyaluronic acid which hydrates my skin and it is free of parabens, artificial fragrance, and mineral oil. What’s not to love?
Have you tried this or any similar product? What is your current favorite skincare item?
