Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Foam & Cleansing Oil Review by The Glam Gamer

I have my tried and true favorites when it comes to skin care. They are the ones I can always count on to work for my skin type and help keep it healthy, hydrated and glowing. I have just added two more to my list.
Neogen Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Oil and Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Foam are part of the Real Cica line that includes the skin loving Real Cica Pad. This line is formulated to deeply cleanse skin while maintaining the health of the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Both cleansers are mildly acidic and will help balance your skin’s pH level which is important for skin barrier health. These products are cruelty free.
Neogen Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Oil, $28, is a light and refreshing oil that has suspended micellar particles that sop up makeup, skin oils and impurities and rinses away cleanly without any greasy feel. The micellar molecules allow it to cleanse skin more thoroughly than regular oil cleansers. The 5 soothing ingredients found in this oil cleanser are Centella asiatica, madecassoside, asiaticoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid. These gentle yet effective ingredients soothe all skin types: normal, stressed, irritated, troubled and dry skin while helping to balance oily skin.
Besides Centella and madecassoside, Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Oil contains soybean oil, olive fruit oil, bergamot fruit oil, hyaluronic acids and ceramides for brightening, healing and hydration. It’s mineral oil free and suitable for all skin types and can even be used to remove eye makeup without any irritation or stinging.
As a first cleanse (or as a cleanse for dry skin , dispense about 3 pumps into your palm and pat hands together to evenly distribute the cleanser into your hands. Apply to your face with a gentle, outwards circular motion. After a minute, apply lukewarm water to the face and gently massage to create a milky emulsion. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with your hands or leave face damp and follow with a foaming cleanser.
Neogen Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Foam, $15, is a gentle foaming cleanser with a plush lather. It removes any and all makeup, oils and debris without making skin feel tight or dry. It’s perfect for a morning face wash and second cleanse for nighttime skin care that removes any residual makeup and leaves skin pristine and ready to benefit from your other skin care products.
Like the oil cleanser, the foaming cleanser contains micelles that act like mini magnets for sebum and impurities. It has a PHA formula that gives gentle exfoliation to all skin types, including sensitive.
Sulfate free and with the 5 soothing ingredients found in the oil cleanser along with gentle exfoliating lactobionic acid, it’s perfect for troubled and irritated skin. It’s also great for balancing oily and normal/oily skin types.
As a morning cleanser, squeeze out a little less than a dime sized amount and add water to lather. You can also just apply to dampened skin. This cleanser has a soft, plush foam that feels nice. Massage the foam onto your face for about one minute and rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with toner and regular skin care products.
I’ve tried lots of cleansers and this one really does well on my oily skin. The oil cleanser doesn’t feel heavy or make my skin feel oily and the foaming cleanser leaves my skin comfortable, soft and balanced. These two cleansers are perfect for all skin types and skin concerns.
As always, thank you for reading. Remember, the truest form of beauty is a kind heart.
