There are so many beauty trends out there at the moment that it is truly hard to keep track of all of them, and while sometimes we feel tempted to try them all, we need to keep in mind that not every single product works the same for everyone. We all have different skin types and different ingredients and formulas are definitely gonna work their magic differently for you and for me, but there are some magical products out there that work almost like a joker, AKA, they fit even those with the most sensitive skins.

Now, while we all have very different skincare routines, there are some basics we all need to integrate in order to get that healthy glow: cleansing, toning, exfoliation, moisturizing and protecting our skin from the sun. While most of these sound pretty familiar and I wanna think we all make use of these MUSTS, there’s one of these steps that’s always a bit more complicated or hard to understand, because by definition it sounds rough: exfoliation.

Don’t know about you but the very first time in my life that exfoliation was introduced to my routine, it came in the form of a rough scrub made with sand and many chemicals, that only left my skin feeling tight, inflamed and in a way, unprotected. That’s how most of us were introduced to exfoliation but there is so much more to it than that! What at firsts sound like stepping foot inside a horror house turns into a path to rainbows-and-candy land, why yes, my friends, exfoliation, in any form you decide to introduce it to your routine, is a must in order to keep our pores free of bacteria, waste, makeup clog and dead skin cells.

At this point in your journey you've probably heard about AHA’s, BHAs and PHAs, AKA the chemical exfoliators or Acids. Then we have the scrubs - which nowadays have evolved into gentler formulas thankfully - but there’s a 3rd format that’s not as known but those who try it simply can’t ignore ever again: peeling foams.
